5 Favourites From 2017
Looking back on 2017
So I have been looking back on 2017 and I've picked a small selection of photos that I absolutely love. They are all a moment in time, not staged or posed, just a moment shared and a story captured to be retold many times through the years to come.
Photo 1 : The Bride and Groom's first quiet moment together
Photo 2 : Stan meets Liz ... you can guess the occasion!
Unfortunately we lost Stan late in 2017. Gone but the legend will live on.
Photo 3 : Surprise party, such a well kept secret
The joy of friends greeting the birthday girl at a well kept surprise party; smiles all round.
Photo 4 : Speeches done, time to party ...
I love everything about this shot. A group of friends stood around a brazier at a wedding reception. Speeches done, everyone relaxing in to the night but as soon as a camera arrives, people react in their own individual way. The results are always fun.
Photo 5 : Ivy couldn't wait to see her mum & dad.
This is my absolute, most favourite shot of the year and it's everything I love about photographing people. As we were setting up to shoot the bride and groom back on the farm, their dog, Ivy came dashing over. She had been cooped up in the farmhouse all morning and was desperate to see her mum & dad. A wonderful moment, which captures so much of the character and life of this lovely couple.
Happy New Year and heres to a wonderful year full friends, photos and stories in 2018!
