Empty!

Wednesday was my last day in Chelmsford for a while and I’m sure my journey in during rush hour was mirrored around the country. One word sums it up, empty. It’s not the most densely populated city but at rush hour it is usually full of cars, buses and people going about their normal daily routine. Instead there was an odd, almost surreal air about, empty roads and empty office blocks, shops with staff fearing how the next weeks will unfold and the few people that did journey in were solemnly heading home. Let’s hope this doesn’t take too long and that life can continue as normal when we do return.

Here’s hoping that we can all stay safe in the weeks ahead and watch out for the next ‘empty’ post, I promise it’s more uplifting!
