As January fades and February takes hold and Snowdrops dazzle in the late winter sunshine, the seasons are shifting. The sun is still weak but the days are lengthening and before long Spring will be upon us. The display of Snowdrops wending their way through the woodland at Marks Hall is such an uplifting sight, made just a little exotic by the fabulous iridescence of Peacocks.

Late winter at Marks Hall is a real treat and something I look forward to every year, a marker in my year, something to look forward to in the dark days of January and right now during lockdown, when I know there are swathes of Bluebells heralding the progress of Spring towards summer, I can look back on these photographs as consolation and a reminder that the seasons keeps turning.
