The Last Blast of Winter ?

The impossibly blue skies and warm Indian Ocean seem like a world away, replaced instead with pastel colours and hoare frost, all witnessed through a veil of early mist. Those long hot antipodean summer days have given way to freezing temperatures and days when the sun bids farewell by 4pm. I've missed this so much!

The turn of the seasons here in my beautiful England are the chapters of my life and I cherish each one as it comes and goes. I do hate those days where the sun just seems to be on vacation all day long but as we reach the end of January and the days start to lengthen, spring feels so close. For now though I can revel in a glorious, ice cold world and look forward to the seasons turning once again.
