Barn in the Chelmer Valley near Ulting

Barn in the Chelmer Valley near Ulting

Wednesday 12th October

I stopped in the Chelmer Valley again this morning, before heading in to the office. I'd spotted some sort of crop growing around the margins of one of the fields and thought I'd take a look. I'm sure I'll get a picture of that at some point but the light wasn't working for me today. Next to the field, I found an old barn overgrown with brambles and weeds which looked just perfect with the light picking it out.

Off to Tollesbury Photographic Group this evening for a 'bring-and-shoot'. One of the group members brought her Lurcher for the evening, who was the perfect model. Great evening as usual.

It rained heavily this evening for the first time since early July and its definitely welcome. As I was leaving the photo club everyone was overjoyed to see such full on rain. We have had an amazing summer and early autumn but the season has definitely changed and we are desperate for the rain, the garden has suffered so much.
