Day 208
The Leadenhall building, aka the Cheese Grater, London
Saturday 14th January 2017
The storm surge wasn't as bad as the forecast. Whilst it's an amazing natural spectacle, so many people along our low lying coastline are vulnerable and I'm sure they are relieved that their homes haven't been flooded and their lives turned upside down.
I spent the day in London at The Societies convention, mainly looking for new wedding album and presentation products. I'm really pleased because one album manufacturer has an album that I'm excited about; something that I've been looking for for some years now.
After the convention I walked down Edgeware Road to Oxford Street, then down Regent Street to Piccadilly. Into Fortnum's for some tea, seriously refreshing Earl Grey with a hint of orange, a tin of dark chocolate & macadamia biscuits for Doff and some Lucifer's biscuits for me; ginger and chilli!
On the way back to Liverpool Street Station, I hopped off at Bank and went in search of architecture. This is the home to some of the most iconic buildings in London; Tower 42, the Gherkin, The Lloyd's Building and more recently, the Leadenhall Building, aka the Cheese Grater.
A good day all round.
