Day 268
Langford Mill
Wednesday 15th March 2017
I left the office earlier tonight, attempting to get home to feed Merlin. The poor lad needs at least 8 packets of cat food a day and I only managed to get a couple in to him before I left home this morning. I did leave 4 packets down for him, most of which was gone by the time I got home. He ate 4 more packets this evening, so he's not doing too bad.
Driving through the Chelmer Valley, I saw a farmer spraying his field; I assume it was some sort of weed killer or fertiliser. I pulled over and as quickly as I could get my camera out, the farmer was off. I managed to grab a couple of frames with the spray glowing in the backlight of the setting sun but the farmer was just too far away; this is one of the drawer backs with only using a 50mm lens. Just down the road at Langford there's an old mill that I pass daily. I've been watching it throughout this project and I knew it would feature at some point but the light just never seemed to be right. Tonight as I approached it from the west, I could see the top of the mill picked out by the last rays of the setting sun, perfect.
