Day 277

St. Mary’s Church, Layer Breton

St. Mary’s Church, Layer Breton

Friday 24th March 2017

A day in Tollesbury today and some time to get enough food in to Merlin. Poor lad is struggling with Doff being in Aus and me being in the office during the day. He eats a vast amount of food a day and although I leave plates full down for him during the day,  today he's much happier with a cat food waiter was on tap!

This evening I went across to Tollgate to the big Sainsbury for one reason; cat food. Merlin and Willow are now bored of the 2 types of cat food they've had so far, so it's off to Sainsburys to by more variety for them! I can't believe cats can be so fussy. Merlin will literally refuse to eat, which normally I wouldn't entertain but right now I need to ensure he gets enough food otherwise he will lose weight.

On my journey I pass through Layer Breton and Birch, two pretty villages which are 2 halves of the same place; I'm sure I'd get shot for saying such a thing! St Mary's church is such and attractive building, a small church which I think is now disused. I love the natural framing of this shot, with the trees forcing your eye to the centre of the building. There's no chance of missing the main subject in this picture, add in gentle movement from the church window to the top of the belfry and your done. Oh, one other thing, the light. Gorgeous, warm, low angled light.
