Day 288
Our Garden
Tuesday 4th April 2017
Another long day today. I went looking for a shot around sunset, but tonight it was pretty grey and dull, so no real inspiration from natural light. I've enjoyed mixing natural and artificial light during this project and given the state of the natural light tonight, a dose of artificial light would definitely help. We have some solar powered lights in one of our maples so I played around with a few compositions. The distinctive shape of the maple leaves, with its wispy fingers and red key picked out by the flat natural light whilst the background fadesto darkness lifted by a warm glow. Quiet, ephemeral, a glimpse caught, falling in to the shadows.
