Our Garden

It's been a glorious day today, wall to wall sunshine and warm too. I was home later than planned and had some jobs to sort out before thinking about my photo. The sun had already dipped behind the trees and the light in our garden was pretty flat. So I went looking for strong, graphic shapes. I've been drawn to our deck, with its regular geometry and tonight I wanted to play around with some ideas. The one I liked best was combining a round planter with the linear shapes in the deck and I chose an overhead viewpoint to really emphasise the two dimensional shapes. I really like the end result, happy man tonight.
