Day 357
Woodrolfe Hard, Tollesbury
Monday 12th June 2017
Start of a new week and the weather is just getting better. Such a beautiful drive through the valley this morning, hedgerows lush, wildflowers blooming away under blue skies and warm sunshine.
I developed my photos from our flower garden visit today and struggled to soften the harsh light in them. I got there in the end and was pleased. I really must try colour film to see if it handles this light any better.
I waited for the sun to dip this evening, for some rich, warm light and I wasn't disappointed. It was back to the Hard and I had something a little more abstract in mind. I love the craftsmanship and natural beauty of traditionally built boats, their boards shaped to form an elegant curve, tonight captured with the distant setting sun glinting off the varnished surface.
