Day 98
Beeleigh Falls
Monday 26th September
A day of contrasts with my pictures today. I've been watching a field of pumpkins over the past 6 weeks and I'd planned to get a shot of it in October before it was harvested and this morning I saw the old red Sherpa van in the field; harvesting had begun so I've missed it for this year.
On the way home, the light wasn't great through the Chelmer Valley and it was fading fast. I got to Beeleigh Falls just before the sun disappeared and for a few short minutes it emerged from below the clouds glowing behind the trees and reflecting in the water. I only had time for one decent shot, which is a bit twee but it's all about the light. A swan even thoughtfully manoeuvred itself in to position at just the right moment; almost looks photoshopped but it's definitely as nature intended.
