Day 104

Tollesbury

Tollesbury

Sunday 2nd October

A day spent scanning and editing photos today, many of them for Jack's funeral. I headed down to the Hard for last light. Surrounded by the quiet sounds of sea birds, waders and some workmen sanding the floors in the chandlery, repairing the damage after last year's storm surge. Even that couldn't really disturb the peace.

It was good to get out in to the fresh air and it was really chilly for the first time tonight. The tide was out and I was able to get down to the waters edge, right down in to the mud, it's such a different viewpoint. It feels asthough you have been subsumed within the landscape, more intimate, more wild.
