Day 123

Tollesbury

Tollesbury

Friday 21st October

Doff and I both need to move forward following our recent loss and today we had some furniture delivered to help us do just that in the house, by changing the character of Jack's room. We'll also be looking at lighting and pictures over the coming weekend too. Mixed emotions, as neither of us want to take the memories away, just to build a new future in our home whilst cherishing what has been.

Much of the land around the sea wall is managed by Essex Wildlife Trust, the National Trust and the RSPB. Some years ago Essex Wildlife Trust chose to allow the sea to reclaim part of the land by allowing it to breach the sea wall, creating a greater wildlife habitat for wading birds. The scars of this reclamation can still be seen in the skeletal trees and final remnants of hedgerows.
