Last night's TPG open night was a great success and we've had so many positive comments via email and Facebook today. The pictures started coming through on Facebook last night, which is one of the joys of digital photography.

For much of my photography I prefer to work alone, finding a place where I can connect with my subject and really give it all my attention. A lot has been written recently about doing just this and the difference it can make to your images but for me it's an intrinsic part of what I do. However, connecting with other photographers is such an inspiration and that's a huge driver behind our TPG open night. Ok, our main aim is to draw in new members but the act of sharing our craft with novices and experts helps us all to grow, helps us to take that in to those quiet, more focussed moments and move our craft forwards.

It's been so cold of late that we've needed to light a fire in the evenings and we are working our way through Jack's old Mulberry tree. It will keep us warm throughout this winter; thanks Jack.
