Day 144
Abstract
Friday 11th November
Early start at home today, with so much to do that I didn't make it in to the office today. I achieved a huge amount at home and although not fully back on track at least I managed to get a good way through several major objectives. Still tired from all the hours put in to TPG but rewarded too with the number of people posting on our Facebook page.
One of our group took documentary pictures of the evening and I reviewed them today; some great shots which I can use for follow-up emails and social media posts to further the interest in our group; although we had a great evening we still need to finally capture those photographers who expressed an interest in joining.
I left it late to get my picture today; I'd lost the light outside and although the moon was so clear, it's very difficult to geta good shot of it on a 50mm lens; it's just too small in the picture. So I headed inside looking for inspiration, struggling. But of course, why hadn't I thought of it before, our new dining table that we picked up last weekend. Black lacquer, with inset oriental panels; we bought it because it is a work of art in itself. Backlight the shot, include some catch lights for atmosphere, expose it so that it's nice and dark, shallow depth of field to focus attention on the oriental panel and to add a bit of character.
