So it's December and thoughts inevitably turn towards Christmas, even the weather is in the mood with misty conditions this morning. My thoughts are also focussing on my project and the passing of time. In 21 days we'll be at the winter solstice, shortest day of the year and my half way point for this project, 6 months gone and 6 more lay ahead.

I've been working on a new technique to create abstract, atmospheric images. I stumbled on it when experimenting with photos of Christmas lights but it I think it's going to work with many subjects. I'm so pleased that this image worked. I love the sense of brightness and life inside, almost as though it was caught out of the corner of your eye, not sharp, not definite, just a glimpse into a brief moment in time.
