Day 184
Tollesbury at Christmas
Wednesday 21st December
So today is the winter solstice and for me that's particularly significant, I'm now 1/2 way through this project. I honestly can't believe how quickly the time has flown by and so much has happened in this first 6 months.
I'm enjoying the project and even though there are times when it would be easier to just stop, I am rewarded each day. Today is a good example. I did some Christmas shopping after work and was ladened with bags on the way home, so no picture. Home late and energy levels low right now, with the long dark days, far too easy to just hit the sofa and watch TV. However, I took a walk up to the village square for a picture which can only work at this time of year and I'm so pleased with the result. And that's the essence of this project, do something, today.
On the way home, I grabbed a shot of Andrew & Anita's gate. I promised Anita that I'd take a picture at some point but the light never seemed quite right. Tonight, with the Christmas lights picking out the wonderful, sinuous shapes of the reclaimed timbers, it's more about what you can't see than what you can.
