Day 185
Oak tree near Beeleigh Abbey
Thursday 22nd December
What a lovely start to the day. The Chelmer Valley just outside Maldon was filled with mist at the bottom of the valley, with the sun shining through, picking out the treetops standing proud. I really needed a longer lens to be able to zoom in but I'm limiting myself to a 50mm lens for this project. So instead I headed down in to the valley near Beeleigh Abbey and was rewarded with this special moment when the sun lifted just high enough to cast these long shadows filtered through the trees, pointing straight toward a beautiful Oak tree. These are the moments we remember, which only happen if we take the time to stand and stare.
