Day 216

Abberton Reservoir

Abberton Reservoir

Sunday 22nd January 2017

Problems at work today and I spent much of the day trying to get them sorted out.

We had to go to Colchester again this afternoon and on the way home we stopped at Abberton Reservoir. Both the top and middle sections were entirely frozen. The edges of the top section had great slabs of ice which had broken off and then refrozen, amazing. But it was the light on the middle section that was just so captivating. The sun had just set, a soft apricot and purple glow across the frozen surface, quite, still, a world in suspended animation, waiting for winter to relax it's grip.
