Day 223
Blackwater near Rolls Farm, Tollesbury
Sunday 29th January 2017
Roger Federa and Rafa Nadal went head to head again, maybe for one last time in a grand slam final. The tennis may have dipped in quality but the intensity has not waned in these seasoned warriors. I read a quote about this being a match that you didn't mind who won and didn't want anyone to lose. Extraordinary achievement by Federa in the end.
I went out past Rolls Farm to the sea wall. I haven't spent much time down here but the tide was out some way and I thought it would make a change. It surprised me, such a great place with little bays, sandy beaches and huge flocks of birds; geese, oyster catchers, red shanks and many gulls too. I really must do the full walk between Tollesbury and Goldhanger.
