Day 336
Chelmer Valley near Ulting
Monday 22nd May 2017
Summer felt as though it had arrived today as I drove through the quiet lanes of the Chelmer Valley this morning. The hedgerows have filled out in the last few weeks, the roads are a little narrower with the lush green of early summer billowing out. What a wonderful time of year filled with light, warmth and the anticipation of the summer to come.
Today's shot was taken in a field near Ulting, where they are growing Barley this year. I love the way the light plays through the seed heads and the characteristic wispy beard. Such a wonderful sight at this time of year with a shimmering field, shifting in the breeze like a large murmurating flock.
