Day 337

Ulting Church Mouse

Ulting Church Mouse

Tuesday 23rd May 2017

I visited Ulting church this evening, something I've been intending to do for quite sometime. It sits on the River Chelmer, down a narrow gated lane at the edge of the village. Peaceful and quiet, the very essence of a rural idyll. Just to spend a few minutes here is to relax, to unburden.

I wandered around the small churchyard hoping for views out across the river and countryside, but the trees are so full right now that the view is too indistinct to capture on camera. I tried a few shots of the church and some of the lane but it was a little carving that really caught my eye; a small, quiet, church mouse sat on the gate quietly greeting all those that pass by.
