Day 91
The Hard at Tollesbury
Monday 19th September
Hopefully the final journey to Broomfield today to sort out some documentation; glad that's done. This afternoon saw the highest tide of the year at 5.9m and it draws people out just to see it. We are an odd bunch really; why should an extra bit of water make us so curious, so full of child-like fun and laughter. The Hard is completely covered and the tide was only a few metres short of the flood defences.
I had a good time wading through the water for 1/2 hour whilst Doff joined her crochet group in The Loft for tea (no Prosecco this week apparently). I nearly walked in to a small jelly fish; not something you normally do on the road to the yacht club!
Back to work tomorrow. I have a lot to sort out but I know it's going to take longer than usual to get my head back in to it.
