Day 179

High tide at Tollesbury

Friday 16th December

Doff and I made time to go down to the Hard for high tide today and it was a big one, around 5.7m which means that everything gets flooded, there's no sense of what should be land and what should be water. It's endlessly fascinating and I never tire of witnessing this phenomenon. The light was beautiful too, soft, overcast, pastel, with a hint of warmth and even some colour away to the west that almost looked like an early sunset.
