I spent the morning writing the first Tollesbury Photographic Group newsletter of 2017 and preparing it for publication. 2016 has disappeared so quickly, it seems only a few months since I published the first 2016 newsletter and yet so much has happened this year. I think it's fair to say that both Doff and I will be glad to see the back of 2016 and hope that 2017 holds more happy days.

We spent the afternoon in Romford with Jack's friend Ivan, whose Grandfather was born in Tollesbury and with Dorothy's cousins Pat & Cliff. Really enjoyable afternoon and evening, discussing everything from Raymond Briggs to Brexit.

I managed to grab my picture on the way home, with five minutes to spare before midnight and luckily Maldon was still lit up with Christmas lights. That was cutting it a bit fine!
