Day 307

Tollesbury

Tollesbury

Sunday 23rd April 2017

So it was a long, tough day on the digger today to get as much done as possible before the digger is returned tomorrow. I'm not as far on as I'd hoped but I am pleased with progress. I even managed to slice the turf off part of the garden in long thin strips; very proud digger driver!

I finished so late that the sun had already set and the light was fading from the horizon. I jumped in the car and headed down to the hard to try and find the last lingering glow. I love these low light photos, they have a magic to them, a surreal quality, an other worldliness about them. I really should bring my tripod down to make life easier, but I've got so used to being mobile on this project. I was at the hard for less than 10 minutes and found at least 4 shots that would have worked for this blogpost.

It was nice to be down at the hard tonight. Quiet and pretty still, with the sounds of wild fowl drifting acrossfrom the Wick and estuary.
