Day 322

Tollesbury Saltings

Tollesbury Saltings

Monday 8th May 2017

Day working from home today, which would have made for a more relaxed day but there was a big problem all day long. Hopefully it'll be fixed tomorrow.

I dropped down to the Hard around sunset and wasn't sure what I would capture tonight. As ever something always finds me, to have it's story told, and tonight it was a small, insignificant clump of Sea Thrift. How does this little plant survive in an environment where it is baked by the sun and flooded by the tide, a tide with such a high salt content that our local Maldon sea salt is world renowned.
