Day 324
Mersea Island
Wednesday 10th May 2017
Glorious morning, the sun is out and spring feels as though it's back in full force. Perfect timing for the good weather as today saw the first of our photowalks with the Tollesbury Photographic Group. We had a wonderful sunset and a full moon too, both looking out over the water which made for some beautiful shots. I think we had a record turn-out for a photowalk, with 18 photographers a far cry from the group night at Heybridge basin a few years back when just 2 of us turned up. The group is gelling so well, with people naturally helping each other and there's a lot of fun banter too. It's a real pleasure to be involved with this crowd.
I managed to grab a couple of minutes to zone out from all the conversation, to get down by the waters edge and just drink in the moment, to understand my feelings about this wondrous view in front of me, to make an emotional connection and distil it in to a single moment.
