Day 361

Tollesbury Marina

Tollesbury Marina

Friday 16th June 2017

Gorgeous day again today, warm and sunny. The sun dipped behind a band of cloud which had formed on the horizon, so there was no real colour in the sky tonight; that's happened a lot recently. I really wanted to find a shot that I haven't tried before in this project. I had no idea what that meant but as walked along the Hard I just couldn’t find it. I headed in to the Marina and saw the stern of an old Smack peeping out below the wall of the marina's boat yard. The yard is a good 20 feet higher than the water at high tide and I knew that I'd found my shot. An abstract shot looking down over the deck of this wonderful old boat, almost as though you are in a crow's nest, the curve of the hull confining the strong linear deck boards and mast. Then I noticed the plastic bottle of water which seems oddly out of place.
