Day 87

St. Ives

St. Ives

Thursday 15th September

We spent the day in St. Ives, eating more pasties and heading in to more galleries. The town has such a great vibe to it and the light is something special. We saw a seal by the quayside hoping someone would throw him some fish from the catch that had just been landed. I think he was old, his back was heavily scarred and he tried rubbing it against the harbour wall.

We were treated to a play at the Minack theatre by Jan and John in the evening; Arthur Miller's The Crucible. What an atmosphere, to be in an amphitheatre facing the ocean with such a dramatic and engaging performance.
